The Friday night meeting was held at the Clearlight Inn, Carsons Corner.  For an excellent lodging and meeting place, keep them in mind.  Plenty of boat parking, really nice rooms, restaurant next door, gas station right across the road, and very close to the Hermitage Ramp, makes for an excellent tournament location – not to mention great hosts!  Our division Chaplain, Brother John Gamblin, gave a thought provoking presentation to the 13 members in attendance.  Thanks to Jeff Wilkins and his company, Derbigum Americas, for furnishing the meal – there was plenty to go around!

 Saturday morning started out hot and humid.  It grew hotter as the day wore on.  Fishing was tough!  Jeff Wilkins and Scotty Doolin caught a small limit, weighing in at 7.16 pounds to come out the winners in several categories – First Place, Big Bass (1.84 pounds), Bonus Bucks, and the $25.00 open side pot.  They caught the only limit on plastics, “anything green pumpkin”, flipping 10” worms and Texas Rigging.  They were fishing 83 degrees, stained water.  The fish came from 2 to 10 foot depths.  They reported losing several nice fish and culling early on.  They left the weigh in with a total of $741.00.  Jeff is supported by Derbigum - Americas.

 The team of Garon Smith and Greg Johnson came in with four fish weighing 4.85 Two weighting 3.82 pounds netted third place for the Director, which only gave him bragging rights over the teams finishing behind him.

Second Big Bass went to the team of Jim Budden and Orval Dale.  They managed to catch a keeper weighing 1.82 pounds when they tossed a Pop R into a swirl made by a Bass chasing Shad, right behind the boat.   They were paid $24.00 for the fish.

Coming in second in the Bonus Bucks was the team of Kevin and Bryan Jackson.  They caught two weighing 3.10 pounds, fishing deep water off points in the Pomme Arm, using a Brush Hog.  They earned $30.00 for their efforts.

Third in the Bonus Bucks pot was the team of Jimmy Blanton and Darin Peters, with one 1.54 pounder.  They were paid $20.00.

Brother John hauled in the junk fish winner with a .25 pound Bluegill.  No word on where or how he caught it J.

Congratulations to Kevin and Bryan Jackson for becoming repeat winners of the points Championship.  They earned an extra $230.00 at the weigh in.  They also earned an automatic berth in the National Championship event.
